Conflict Continues. Some Villagers Flee, Some Hide & Some Stay

Since the initial nighttime attack and murder of seven village leaders — additional attacks have taken place.

The largest school in the area for 600 day students was burnt to the ground.

Police have been reinforced and have killed at least a dozen gang members.

In the nearest major city where Yves lives — Jacmel — thousands of people have marched in protest, demanding the government secure the area to keep them safe.

Also, thousands of people have fled the region seeking safety and many are in hiding.

Our best response at this time is to pray and provide emergency food.

Hope for Kids Haiti has an agreement from GCF to send emergency funds from our account for food and meals to be distributed to people in hiding.

Your donations are real-time feeding children in isolation and families in crisis.
