Gangster Attack in the Village of Seguin

Hello friends of Hope for Kids Haiti,

Gangsters attacked the village of Seguin the night of April 13 at 2 a.m.

This is the village where Hope For Kids Haiti works. Approx. 3,000 people live in Seguin.

People awoke in terror to gun shots and fled, police property was stolen or destroyed, village leaders were targeted. The attacking gangs recorded their destruction and posted it to social media to amplify fear.

Today many are in hiding, some are seriously injured and 7 are confirmed dead.

I just finished talking with Yves. He and his family live in a nearby town. They are safe.

Some of the key leaders with Hope For Kids Haiti are in hiding for fear of being targeted.

Tomorrow, these same leaders will be trying to locate people who are missing and to supply cooked food with those who have fled to safety and are hungry, afraid and hiding in surrounding areas.

• Mercy for those who grieve / Peace for all
• Justice for those who commit violence
• Hope for a village of 3,000 that is traumatized
